In My Mailbox (8)

Sorry that it's sideways, for some reason my computer won't let me rotate it.
In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren

Note: Since last week I have gotten 7 (as of 7/29/11) new followers. Thank you guys, 13 till my 50 follower give away!

On Saturday the 23rd I won an ARC copy of The Duff by Kody Keplinger from my local library by doing a summer reading drawing. So, thank you to my library. I actually got this last week but I was afraid I wouldn't have much to post this week so I decided to post it this week. It seems to  be about a girl who falls in love with the boy she has always hated. It looks pretty good. I have no idea when I'll get to it because I had such a big week last week (big for me anyway) and I have quiet a few books to get to.

On Monday I bought a copy of Forever by Maggie Stiefvater at her books signing and got all three of my books signed along with some swag. I reviewed all three of the Mercy Falls books, if you would like to read them look over to the left of the screen and find blog archives. If you are reading this in July they should already be pulled up, if you are reading this anytime later you'll have to open the July 2011 tab.

What I got at the Maggie Stiefvater signing: Copy of Forever, two postcards, Forever Maggie Key chain and This is Teen flash drive.
My copy of Linger: signed

My copy of Forever: Signed

My copy of Shiver: Signed

And on Friday I received an RAK from Carrie at Stalking the Bookshelves. It was Iron King by Julie Kagawa. Thank you Carrie, I've really been wanting to read this book!

I have a question for those who have read the Iron Fey series:
Do you have to read Winter's Passage and Summer's Crossing for the series for make sense? If not, should I read them?

Remember that I am holding a Giveaway!

What did you get in your mailbox?

  2. Erika,
I haven't read Winter's Passage or Summer's Crossing yet. I read all 4 of the main books back to back though and loved the series. I plan on reading the other two later but you don't have to read them for the series to make sense.

Yay for a signed copy of Forever. My sister bought me Forever but she hasn't sent it yet. She might try to make Maggie's signing in Nashville first. Can't wait to read it though. Excited to see how the series will end!

  4. Hi Erika, Which signing of Maggie's did you go to - the one at the library or the one at Wild Rumpus? I was at the Wild Rumpus signing on Monday. I got Forever. It was so cool to meet Maggie and Tessa.

  5. Hey Alison! I looked at your blog and I do believe I saw you, of course I didn't know who you were. Were you talking to another girl before the signing? If so I did see you. I too have a few pictures posted if you would like to see them http://readspect.blogspot.com/2011/07/maggie-stiefvater-book-signing-pictures.html
