Waiting on Wednesday 7/2/12 The Lost Girl

The Lost Girl by Sangu Mandanna
August 28th 2012

Eva’s life is not her own. She is a creation, an abomination—an echo. Made by the Weavers as a copy of someone else, she is expected to replace a girl named Amarra, her “other”, if she ever died. Eva studies what Amarra does, what she eats, what it’s like to kiss her boyfriend, Ray. So when Amarra is killed in a car crash, Eva should be ready.

But fifteen years of studying never prepared her for this.

Now she must abandon everything she’s ever known—the guardians who raised her, the boy she’s forbidden to love—to move to India and convince the world that Amarra is still alive.

  1. I'm really curious about this book. I mean, why would they nee someone to pretend she is someone else. Why can't the world know Amarra's dead. So many questions! I'll have to check it out!

  3. This book sounds totally interesting! I have it on my TBR, and really can't wait to read it. I didn't know it was set in India, I think that's really neat! I have a few friends that are from there, so I think it'll be really neat to see a book that's set in India. =)

    Fabulous pick, Erika! <3
